#5 Local Color

Oil on Panel 6 x 8 Sold $625.00 USD

"Local Color"  was painted from my car, looking out the front window. This is the road my grandparent's farm was on when I was a child.  It was sold when I was 15 and still feels like home to me.  One of the few dirts roads left in the county.  I just love the character of these old farm roads.  People today see them as a nuisance, which I guess they kind of are. . . but I hope they don't all become paved, it would be a shame.  Dirt roads along with telephone poles . . . could possibly soon be a thing of the past.  So for now, I'll paint 'em!  Then they'll last!
